Scope and Content Note
This series consists of affidavits of publication of notices by the comptroller or by other state offices submitted to the comptroller.
Each affidavit has a copy of the advertisement attached. The advertisements are mostly for sales of lands for arrears in taxes or quit rents, or to announce sale of state stock. There is also an affidavit of publication of the official canvass of the general election of 1832 in the Albany Argus.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
