Scope and Content Note

Consists of an inventory for the contents of 13 boxes of documents contained in "sundry boxes deposited in the upper loft of the State Hall". The documents range in date from Revolutionary War to the 1820's. Examples of documents listed are: accounts of Governors George Clinton and Daniel D Tompkins; accounts of provisions for army 1781; accounts of commissioner of conspiracies; 1781; accounts of commissioner of conspiracies 1781; accounts for expenditures in war of 1812; accounts for roads and bridges; accounts for building the Capitol and State Hall; Wolf for building Capitol and State Hall; wolf bounties, 1815-1821; accounts for building and maintaining Auburn Prison; etc. Most of these records are found in records of the Comptroller now in the State Archives.
