This index was apparently created by the Comptroller's Office as a reference to legislation relevant to its functions. Laws dating from 1792 to 1839 are referenced, but the collation date of the index is unknown. For each subject a brief title or description of the pertinent law and its citation (year, chapter, section) are shown.
