Scope and Content Note
This series consists of a printed copy of a report of a joint committee of the Senate and Assembly concerning the subject of quit rents. The report is a printed copy of the original and contains annotations in the margins whose origin is unknown. The report itself is a plea for the passage of a bill "releasing and discharging all arrears of quitrents, and abolishing them forever in this state". The report also contains the reasons why the joint committee has decided in this manner.
