Scope and Content Note
This series consists of some correspondence and annual reports of the inspector of gas meters. The inspector was appointed by the Governor for a term of five years.
Most reports in this series list the name of the company, location (city only) authorized capital, report (meaning unclear), actual, and remarks, if any, concerning the company. The correspondence included in this series deals mainly with the submission of the reports to the Comptroller's Office.
