Scope and Content Note
This series consists of correspondence, lists of awards of stock granted to people regarding the financing of a general fund debt sinking fund and proposals to the Comptroller's Office from bank officers and private citizens stating the amount of stock they wish to purchase.
These proposals were submitted after the Comptroller's Office advertised in various papers around the state the State's intention to issue the stock. The list of awards contains the names of the bidders, the amount expected, the bid, the amount of the premium and total amount.
