Scope and Content Note
Certificates issued by the Treasurer's Office stating that a specific sum of money was paid into the State Treasury by a certain individual.
The records contain: the name of the individual; the amount of money paid into the Treasury; what the money was paid in for; the date; and the signature of the Treasurer.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
