This volume lists payments made to veterans of the War of 1812 under a law of May 1, 1869 appropriating money for payment of claim certificates for war services; and a law of April 29, 1870, appropriating additional money for the continuation of the 1869 law.
The volume lists the number of the claim; name of claimant; claimant's residence; number of certificate; dollar amount of certificate; amount awarded on certificate; amount awarded under apportionment of 1870, total amount awarded; date of receipt; date paid; where or to whom payment was delivered; and occasional remarks.
