Scope and Content Note
This is a printed volume which lists land to be sold for arrears of quit rents. By a law of 1814 the comptroller was authorized to make lists available to county clerks, treasurers, and city chamberlains for a November 1815 sale.
The lists include: patentees' names; date of grant; description of property; county where formerly situated; county where now situated; and quantity. Handwritten notes are included which are primarily corrections and additions to the original printed list.
