Scope and Content Note
These bound volumes provide carbon copies of letters sent out by the Comptroller and Deputy Comptroller to a variety of individuals, organizations, and government organizations. They relate to: school taxes requested to be paid on State lands; highway taxes levied against state land; exchanges with people wishing to purchase tracts of state land; and appraisals of the value of state land.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
