Scope and Content Note
This series consists of two volumes recording information pertaining to physical examinations and the transfer of Matteawan inmates to wards.
Volume one (1957-1964) provides the inmate's name, admission date, weight (over three week period), height, from where transferred (county only), ward transferred to and date. The second volume (1975-1977) differs in content, providing the inmate's date of admission, name, number, age, marital status, date of physical examination, examining doctor, date of transfer, and to which ward (or occasionally, other institution).
