This series consists of a register of bonds issued to raise funds for the construction of the New York and Erie Railroad Company.
The register contains copies of the original bonds - each of which is registered, countersigned, and compared with the original
bond and is signed by Archibald Campbell, Deputy Secretary of State. Entries, numbered from one to 3,000, are for $1,000 and
are dated August 17, 1847.
