Summary:
This series consists of warrants issued by the governor authorizing the treasury to pay specified sums to persons who provided goods or services to New York. The warrants are for routine expenditures such as salaries for government officials and employees, travel expenses, or reimbursement for money or supplies provided to the government to help fortify the colony. The warrants contain the governor's name; sum and name of person to be paid; purpose of the payment; date; and treasurer's name.
