Scope and Content Note

This volume records dates of leave taken and of extra duty for which accumulated time was credited.

The volume provides: name of employee; address or city of residence (sometimes); telephone number (sometimes); date of appointment; and dates of: vacation, sick leave, other absences with or without pay, and sometimes the reason (e.g. death or illness in family), extra duty for which accumulated time was credited, and the work done (e.g. substituting for another employee), departure from institution employment, and the reason (e.g. to enlist in the National Guard or to take employment elsewhere), and return to institution employment. For employees appointed April 1 to October 4, 1941 (date of the final entry), only the name, address, telephone number, and date of appointment are recorded. Not all institution employees are recorded in this volume, and there is no indication of who kept it.
