This series contains correspondence, memoranda, reports, and lists. Much of the material consists of lists of teachers, librarians, nurses, and health teachers approved by the Education Department in fulfillment of school districts' quotas for specialized teachers required for the districts to receive special state aid.
The series also contains information on: certification of teachers of the handicapped; entrance requirements for colleges with home economics programs; home economics curricula; and training of home economics teachers.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
