Biographical Sketch
Legislation of 1903 directed the State Engineer and Surveyor and the Superintendent of Public Works to improve the Erie, Oswego, and Champlain canals. Where required, new bridges were to be built either to replace old ones or if rendered necessary by the new location of the canals.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
