Scope and Content Note
This series consists of correspondence used by the State Archeologist related to and documenting the organization of the Eastern States Archeological Federation (E.S.A.F.). Included in the series are meeting minutes, general correspondence, correspondence related to membership and meeting planning (both regional and annual), and member and officer lists. To a lesser extent, included documents such as paper abstracts and organizational goals document the activities of the Federation.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
