Summary:
The Bureau of Public Buildings allotted rooms to state agencies and officials, saw that the rooms were furnished, and took measures to preserve the furniture and other property in those offices. This series consists of a carbon transcript inventory listing: building; floor; name or room number or agency name; and quantity of each type of furniture, equipment, and machinery in each room. Durable goods such as desks, chairs, bookcases, typewriters, fire extinguishers, wastebaskets, and rugs were inventoried.

Scope and Content Note

This volume contains a carbon transcript inventory providing the following: building; floor; name or number of room or name of agency; and quantity of each type of furniture, equipment, and machinery in each room.

Durable goods such as desks, chairs, bookcases, typewriters, fire extinguishers, wastebaskets, and rugs were inventoried. This was carried out in keeping with the duties of the Bureau of Public Buildings to allot rooms to state agencies and officials, to see that the rooms are furnished, and to take measures for the preservation of the furniture and other property in those offices.
