Administrative History
Milton Alpert served as the Departmental Mileage Administrator for the War Council. The duties of the office were to supervise the operation of privately owned vehicles used for official, departmental business; to examine and pass on gasoline and tire applications; and to keep an up-to-date record of the mileage covered by such vehicles.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
