This series consists of clippings from various newspapers throughout the state, mostly found in envelopes addressed to Dr.
Hiram Jones at the State Education Department and sent from Capital City News Bureau in Albany. The clippings address a range
of physical fitness topics. A number of articles cover the proposed construction of commando training courses for high school
students, in an effort to bring about an improvement in physical fitness to better align with war training needs.
