Summary:
This series contains correspondence primarily between local war transportation administrators and the War Transportation Committee,
which was responsible for promoting and ensuring the efficient use of transportation resources regarding the issuance of charter
bus permits. These requests were usually for one-time-only trips. Often, letters from the organizations seeking the charter
bus permits are found. Both types of correspondence detail the trip, destination, miles, date, time, type of bus, and reason
for the trip.
