Scope and Content Note

These are record cards of ACTEC inmates (all transferred from other facilities) kept by the principal keeper (chief disciplinary officer) at each facility.

The following information is recorded on these cards: inmate's name and number; institution to which inmate was originally sentenced; date received at that institution; date sentenced; alias; judge; court; county; jail time; date eligible for parole; maximum expiration date; crimes or charges; criminal act (description); act attributed to; date act committed; value of money or goods; if goods were recovered; place act committed; date of arrest; arresting agency; names and locations of accomplices; personal data including date of birth, age, height, weight, hair and eye color, and other characteristics; religion; color or nationality; education: age left school; occupation; dates of last employment; name of last employer; address of employer, type of work; salary; social security number, military service branch; use of alcohol and drugs; city, state, and country of birth if not born in U.S.; date of entry and if naturalized; residence on arrest; number of years; legal residence and years in state; marital status; siblings; dependents; and name and address of nearest relative.

Also on the card is a transfer record giving date of transfer and where transferred; a disciplinary record giving date of infraction, officer, charge, and action taken; work record giving dates and work assignment; parole record giving dates and disposition; and often photographs of the inmates.
