Scope and Content Note
This series contains mostly, though not exclusively, the New York State Department of Labor's collection of information regarding hospital strikes that took place during the 1960s and 1970s. Information about some non-hospital labor strikes appears, such as information on an Associated General Contractors (AGC) strike and another regarding Eastern Airlines. Included in most folders is correspondence between the department and union leaders/hospital heads and case descriptions of the disputed issues between the parties.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
