Scope and Content Note
This series contains financial information relating to construction and repairs of the Barge Canal. Each volume is divided into a ledger, cash book, and journal. The sections labeled "ledger" are comprised of tables related to the type of transaction, such as travel expenses, bride designers, and land grants. Information includes date, page, division of the canal, credits, and total balances. Sections labeled "cash books" are comprised of tables that include date, payee, page, tunnel, and canal. Sections labeled "journal" are comprised of tables that include date, type of work is being done, and total amounts.
