Scope and Content Note

These volumes contain the record of annual registrations of all pharmacies and drug stores operating in the State.

Each entry contains the following information: proprietor's name (individual or firm); street address; city, village, or town; county or borough; registration number for each year; and remarks (such as name of successor, "discontinued," "out of business").

For the period 1901-1910 there are separate volumes (1-13) for each of the Pharmacy Board's three branches (Western, Middle, and Eastern). The Eastern Branch volumes (5-13) give an abbreviated address. At the ends of volumes 16 and 18 are separate lists of state, city, and county hospitals and other institutions having registered pharmacies. All registrations for the years 1911-1915 are missing.
