Summary:
This series contains information on New York City civil service practices, its violations of Civil Service law and rules;
and the city's justification of irregular civil service practices. The hearing transcripts, reports and brief document the
State Civil Service Commission's investigation of the New York City Civil Service Commission. Most information consists of
"minutes" of testimony and exhibits taken by the State Commission during its investigation. Also included is the final report
to the Legislature and the city's reply.
