Scope and Content Note
This series consists of the report and supporting documentation of a Civil Service Commission (C.S.C.) investigation of the personnel practices and policies of Public Service Commission Chairman Milo R. Maltbie. The report contains a summary of how the investigation was conducted, and a description of the allegations and evidence against Maltbie.
The report frequently references the supporting documentation, which is organized into four schedules as follows: Schedule A, Photostats of C.S.C. and Civil Service Employee Association (C.S.E.A.) records relating to cases involving specific employees; Schedule B, Similar material as in Schedule A relating to general matters, including sick leave, travel allowance, examinations, and employee morale; Schedule C, Photostats of publicity and newspaper articles; and Schedule D, Typed summaries of interviews with various individuals during the course of the investigation.
