Summary:
This series consists of reports of field visits by staff of the Bureau of Business and Distributive Education and its administrative predecessor, Vocational and Practical Arts Education and Guidance. Early reports provide detailed summaries of business or distributive education classes or programs offered at specific schools. Later field reports provide a review of staff visits to schools and attendance at meetings, workshops, and conferences.

Field reports for vocational and practical arts education and guidance: arranged alphabetically by name of school or locality visited.

Scope and Content Note

This series consists of reports of field visits by members of the staff of the Bureau of Business and Distributive Education and its administrative predecessor.

Field Reports for Business and Distributive Education, 1960-1966: provide a narrative review of staff visits to schools and attendance at meetings, workshops, and conferences. The purpose of these visits include presentations by Bureau personnel to students and teachers on business and distributive education topics and the state's role in these areas, and participation in professional conferences or workshops on the same topics.

Field Reports for Vocational and Practical Arts Education and Guidance, 1946-1960: provide detailed narrative summaries of business or distibutive education classes or programs offered at specific schools. Visits were usually for the purpose of evaluating existing programs or providing advice on the expansion or establishment of business or distributive education programs. Most reports have copies of transmittal letters to local officials attached.
