Scope and Content Note
These volumes serve as indexes to contractors' proposals for work on the Western Division. Volume 1 is an alphabetical index providing number(s) of proposal and name. If the Genesee Valley Canal is the subject of the proposal, "G.V. Canal" is noted. Volume 2 is an alphabetical index by contractors, providing name of contractor, description of project/work, and reference to page or book number in an unknown source.
