Scope and Content Note
This volume tracks canal construction and repair work in the Western Division of the Erie Canal. For each project, a description of the work is provided at the top of the entry with pertinent legislation and cost information (if applicable). Transactions are listed with debits on the left-hand side and credits on the right-hand side of the entry. Dates, descriptions, and amounts of the transactions are provided. Occasionally the date adopted by the Canal Board and additional notes about the work may be found.
