Scope and Content Note
This series consists of a scrapbook with pasted newspaper clippings, from various newspapers throughout Central and Western New York, related to the Barge Canal and Good Roads projects. Clippings pertain to Barge Canal repairs; canal breaks; water levels; rebuilding parts of the Barge Canal; labor issues; complaints about road construction projects; road repairs; Good Roads conferences; funding for both the Barge Canal and road construction projects; the state highway system; highway and road laws; and opinion pieces about the Barge Canal and road construction.
