Scope and Content Note
This series contains lists of expenditures made by engineers working on the Western Division of the New York State Canal System. The expenditures in this series are from engineers who worked on the Erie and Genesee Valley Canals. Included are tables that list the engineer; the date and number of the voucher; to whom paid; what the expenditure was for (e.g. Office rent, services as rodman, stationary, drafting); the amount of each item and the total expenditure.
