This series contains reports of accidents involving State trucks; cost estimates and requisitions for materials and labor used in highway maintenance and repair (equipment and operators, drivers, oil, tar, cement, gravel, lumber, paint, piping, etc.); correspondence between Cortland County Assistant Engineer Ray Mott and Sixth Division Engineer William Acheson and between Acheson and the State Commission of Highways in Albany; inventories of materials on hand in Cortland County; State Department of Labor workmen's compensation forms reporting employee injuries; memorandums and circular letters sent to division engineers by the Commission; reports of conditions of Cortland County roads submitted to the division engineer; foreman's daily record books; and traffic censuses (dated 1924) for Cortland, Cayuga, and Tompkins counties.
