Scope and Content Note
These records certify the purchase of parcels of land for unpaid taxes. Each certificate includes name of purchaser; number of acres or size of lot purchased; county where parcel is located; lot number and description; amount paid; and date of sale. Each certificate is signed by the comptroller or deputy comptroller. Some certificates include an assignment to a third party.
B0918-99: This accretion consists of certificates of purchases of parcels during the tax-sale of 1895 in Albany, Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Clinton, Chautauqua, Cortland, and Delaware counties. All purchases documented in this accretion were made by the state. The records are estrayed from earlier accessions in the series.
