Most of this series consists of letters written to the Comptroller requesting searches of records to confirm individuals'
Revolutionary War service. Replies from the controller are not included. Additional material includes bills for repair and
storage of small arms; memoranda concerning state military accounts; certificates of employment of clerks in the adjutant
general's office; War of 1812 claim number 16,273; and a few claims for the state campaign badge awarded for military service
during the Spanish-American War.
