Scope and Content Note
This series consists primarily of correspondence to the State Comptroller notifying his office of appointments to various positions and changes in salaries. Positions included are librarians and assistant librarians of the State Library, secretaries of the Board of Regents, director and assistants of the State Museum, and various employees of the State Engineer and Surveyor. Also included are a few descriptions or lists of unsold state lands from the State Engineer and Surveyor.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
