This series documents Auburn Prison's expenditures for several years: October 1894 to September 1895; October 1896 to September 1897; and October 1899 to September 1900.
Categories include Salaries of Prison Officers, Rations, Firewood, Clothing and Bedding, Hospital, Discharge and Transportation of Convicts, Repairs, etc. For each expenditure, the ledger lists the date of entry, name of individual or company receiving payment, description of goods or services paid for, and amount paid. The front of each volume includes a recapitulation of monthly receipts and expenditures.
