This series consists of transcripts of public hearings conducted by the commission prior to issuing reports of studies recommending
changes in the state's public pension and retirement systems. The records document public reaction to the commission's recommendations
and include hearing transcripts often with handwritten notes; written statements; lists of scheduled witnesses; order of testimony;
letters clarifying testimony; correspondence expressing opinions; acknowledgment/transmittal letters to correspondents; notices
of hearings, especially on public employee disability retirement problems; commission meeting schedules; and press clippings.
