Scope and Content Note
The series consists of notices created by the staff of the budget director as updates to the Division of the Budget's Budget Policy and Reporting Manual (BP&RM). The manual is used to convey budget policy and procedure to division staff, state agencies, and the general public.
Transmittal notices present include numbers 3 through 31, with the following numbers missing: 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 13. This numerical order roughly corresponds to a chronological arrangement from 1973 through 1988. The notices include additions and changes to the manual, specifically new, revised, and deleted items, Instructions include brief descriptions of items/section subjects and appropriate actions (i,e., replace, remove, add) for specific pages of the manual. Sheets typically give a date for replacement pages and sometimes the date of superseded pages.
