The series consists of a copy of the "Statistical Appendix to the Report of the Metropolitan Commissioners in Lunacy." This published appendix, pertaining to patients in institutions for the insane in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, was kept as a reference work at the State Asylum for the Insane. Extensive statistics are given for admissions; readmissions; discharges; deaths, cures; forms and causes of insanity; hereditary dispositions; and causes of deaths.
