Administrative History
Under Chapter 468 of the Laws of 1935, the Industrial Commissioner of the Department of Labor was charged with the administration of the Unemployment Insurance Fund, with the assistance of a State Advisory Council of nine members appointed by the governor. The council considered and advised the Industrial Commissioner upon all matters connected with the Unemployment Insurance Law submitted to it by the commissioner and recommended changes in the administration of the law.
