Scope and Content Note

This series consists of an oversize atlas volume (31 x 27 x 3.75 inches) containing eleven maps (26.5 x 37 inches) depicting the lot boundaries and type of the Onondaga Salt Springs Reservation. The paper maps are linen-backed, hand-colored, and appear to have been produced ca.1849 by Deputy Surveyor John Randell, Jr., or to have been produced on the basis of surveying data collected by him in 1822 and 1843.

The volume is quite similar to series A0850, State Engineer and Surveyor's Maps of the Onondaga Salt Springs Reservation, which depicts the same area in 1891.
