Scope and Content Note
This series consists of briefing notes prepared for Governor George E. Pataki before he appeared at various meetings, bill signings, dinners, and other public events throughout 1995. The notes pertain mainly to business, government, and religious and community organizations (e.g. Chase Manhattan Bank, New York State Press Association, American Jewish Committee, and Friends of Crown Heights). The multi-page notes provide background information about a particular organization, reasons for the event, topics of possible disagreement, and recommend remarks or positions for the governor.
