Scope and Content Note
This series consists of approximately 10,000 color slides (2" x 2") that are housed in binders arranged by subject. The bulk of the images depict people and places throughout the state and were produced and used to support various department promotional activities and initiatives. The series consists of three main groupings: boxes one through four consist of slides arranged by subject (e.g. agriculture, business, education, people, etc.). Boxes five through eight consist of slides arranged by geographic region (e.g. Hudson Valley, Capital Districts, etc). Boxes nine and ten contain slides housed in trays that comprise a slide show entitled "Global New York."
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
