Summary:
This series consists of files created by the Deputy Commissioner for Environmental Management and relate to the state's response
to federal water-quality legislation. The files which contain information gathered at meetings of the Great Lakes Basin Commission
and other federal-state water-protection bodies, help to document the department's role in safeguarding drinking water supplies,
coastal and estuarine areas, and the Hudson River. Other files concern efforts to protect the Catskill and Adirondacks Forest
Preserves.
