Scope and Content Note
This series consists of newsletters produced by staff, patients, and volunteers at Middletown State Hospital (later Middletown Psychiatric Center). Titles include "Empathy," the quarterly newsletter of staff and volunteers (1965, 1968); "We Speak," patient newsletter (1958-1967); The "Hilltop," patient newsletter (1935-1953); "The Hilltop Herald," and "MPC Herald," staff newsletter (ca. 1978-1996); and other short-lived or untitled publications (1961-2002).
