Scope and Content Note
This series consists of copies of all of the files that comprised the official Web presence of the Office of the Governor (www.state.ny.us/governor) as of 29 December 2006, a few days before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains the texts of Governor Pataki's State of the State Addresses, Budget Messages, and other significant speeches (1995-2006), copies of executive orders issued in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, and roughly 7,600 press releases and accompanying audio and video files issued by the Office of the Governor. Information about the First Family, Lieutenant Governor Mary O. Donohue, the Executive Mansion, and past governors of New York State is also present.
This series also includes approximately 4,500 low-resolution digital photographs taken during the Pataki administration, including images of Governor Pataki at the World Trade Center site shortly after 11 September 2001.
