Scope and Content Note
This series contains the subject and bill files of Manfred Ohrenstein while he was in the State Senate. The subject files consist of correspondence, memoranda, reports, notes, speeches, and other related records pertaining to state elections, civil defense, health, education, mental health, the Democratic Party, civil rights, and housing. Names of note include Eleanor Roosevelt, Nelson Rockefeller, Mark Lane, Herbert Lehman, and Arthur Levitt. The bill files include legislative bills, memoranda, and correspondence.
