Scope and Content Note
This series consists of various reports and literature relating to traffic safety, which were compiled by Secretary to Governor Harriman, Jonathan B. Bingham. This series also includes Executive Chamber press releases relating to traffic safety; press releases, agendas and attendance lists; and editorials on and suggestions regarding the Governor's Conference on Tractor-Trailer Accidents and the Governor's Conference on City and Village Traffic Safety. Also included are Bingham's statements at the 1958 regional meeting of the President's Committee for Traffic Safety.
Custodial History
This series was a gift to Syracuse University from Governor Harriman in 1959. It was later transferred to the New York State Archives in 2006, and accessioned in January 2008.
