This series consists of an archival copy of the publicly accessible website of the New York State Commission to Modernize the Regulation of Financial Services site produced on June 10, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains information about the commission's members and staff, a draft State Insurance Department regulation (2007) outlining core principles for both the financial services industry and government regulators, and an interview (2008) in which the commission's chair outlines the commission's regulatory approach. Researchers should note that this site was removed from the live Web shortly after it was copied.
